The first Hemlock release of 2017: Bruce who impresses with the eviscerated tone and hulking sound design of Before You Sleep, although the melody is little too cloying, Ghosting Season-esque. In Line makes up for that with some trippily refractive hall-of-mirrors dynamics recalling Paleman’s recent Ice Parade melting into gas, and Sweat nimbly buckles down to some very Bretschnieder-styled buzzing minimalism.
