I'd recently finished working on a series of digital paintings used in the film below. There was something interesting in taking a video and aggressively cutting it as if you would a photograph for a collage. This, as well as recently watching a documentary detailing the day of Francis Bacon finding his dead lover hours before attending his private opening were the two main pieces of inspiration leading up to this project.
